How to challenge this theory

A standing invitation to question, narrow, or correct any claim

You do not need to accept the whole research programme. Pick one claim, definition, proof step, interpretation, or empirical mapping — and explain what you think is wrong, missing, or too strong. Counterexamples, negative results, and requests to narrow a claim are all welcome.

What can be challenged

01 A mathematical definition or derivation A definition is vague, a step does not hold, a premise is left unstated, or a conclusion is stated too strongly when it follows directly from a definition. A precise formula difference or a missing assumption helps most.
02 Lean formalisation and dependencies A Lean declaration does not express the paper's actual claim, a key antecedent is missing, the axiom-dependency scope is unclear, or the public reproduction command does not run. Please give the theorem name, file path, error output, or a minimal reproduction.
03 An over-broad claim For example, presenting a conditional identity as unconditional, promoting a single-model result to a law of all autonomous systems, or describing a mathematical correspondence as an empirical finding. Stating where the evidence stops is as useful as finding a formula error.
04 A counterexample, alternative model, or interpretation Propose another selector, closure structure, or conceptual reading; show it satisfies the same conditions yet yields a different result; or explain why a philosophical analogy does not hold. One clear counterexample is enough to limit a single claim.

Claims worth particular scrutiny

#ClaimWhy it needs care
1Boundary–self-report conditional identityThe result depends on explicit conditions such as the report family being upward-closed. Is the antecedent stated correctly, and can a new counterexample be constructed?
2Level self-reference unique solutionUnder the chosen map the self-consistent equation has a unique solution; this must not be misstated as "unique among all selectors". Existing counterexamples already restrict it.
3Assembly criterion ≠ existenceThe proved criterion must not be read as proving the assembly event necessarily exists. The proof that constructs c′ from σ_mech>σ* is still missing.
4κ mapping unverifiedWhich of the κ↔β (neuroscience) or robotics variable mappings are mathematical definitions, and which remain empirical assumptions?

What happens after feedback

Receive Locate the claim Confirm which claim, definition, or piece of evidence is being questioned.
Number Record it Each concern is given a public reference so it can be tracked.
Reply Respond in public Attempt to reproduce the problem and check premises and dependencies.
Revise New version or new line When needed, a correction is issued as a new version or a new line marked supersedes; the history of the original claim is not silently rewritten.
